A number of schools, institutes, organizations, fellowships, scholarships and places have been named in honor of Bell. A number of historic sites and other marks commemorate as both he and the first telephone company building. Among them are:

Bell granddaughter and former Secretary, Dr. Mabel Grosvenor Harlakenden was his former honorary president until his death in 2006. The club was originally created as the young ladies of Baddeck Club, was renamed in 1922 after the death of Bell and Mabel Bell declined after the use of his name.

The action RIT is apparently the only known example of a withdrawal from Bell for ideological reasons;
